Posie Lewis is an actor, writer, VoiceOver artist, and educator based in New York City. Most of Posie’s recent work has been onscreen, including the award-winning short films The Lord’s House and Something Beautiful in the Daylight, as well as upcoming feature films Little Bunker Hill and Poetry Night (shot on 16mm film). She recently originated the role of Rosalie in the premiere of let's talk about anything else at The Flea in NYC.
Posie's theatrical credits have ranged from Gwendolyn in The Importance of Being Earnest, to Anya in The Cherry Orchard, to the site-specific Bad at Talking set in a Tribeca boxing ring. Posie narrated the audiobook for A Dangerous Game (available on Audible), penned personal essays for her own podcast Write It Down, and can be heard voicing wildlife creatures for Ranger Rick Magazine’s digital content.
Posie graduated summa cum laude with her degree in Theatre and English from Muhlenberg College. She also studied physical theatre at the Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy where she developed a passion for devising theatre — and honed an approach to performance grounded firmly in the body's versatility. Most recently, she studied in the Chekhov Intensive at the Stella Adler Studio.
In addition to her work as an actor, Posie teaches theater privately to students in grades K-12.
